Ketchum has only 83 street lights and a population of 4800.
Our utility, Idaho Power, said we were too small to get
a reduction in electricity bills. It's called "economies of
scale."
If we were larger, we would pay less for those lights with
reduced wattage. The whole retrofit cost the city $4100.
We changed several 100w hps to 70 w hps and a few
250 w hps to 200 w hps - but no savings from Idaho Power.
Sorry I can't show more cost savings for you to use in
your arguments.
