i HAVE used natural, unwashed sheep's wool as roof insulation with excelentresults so far (2 years). I did treat the wool with Borax salts for addedprotection. Since the wool was unwashed, it was enough to spread the drysalt on top of the wool--it sticks to the lanoline. If you use washed wool,you will have to disolve the salt in water and spray it on.
