[Strawbale]workshop announcement
BWB is pleased to announce that our partner Solar Energy International
has an upcoming natural building workshop:
Natural House Building Education
As part of their 2004 Sustainable Building Program, Solar Energy
International is offering a one-week Natural House Building hands-on
workshop in Kingston, New Mexico. Extensive hands-on sessions
supplemented by intensive classroom session, tours and guest instructors
will give participants an opportunity to learn about straw bale, adobe,
earthbag, cob, and natural plasters.
The location for the workshop, the Black Range Lodge, is a center for
sustainable design, hands-on demonstration and outreach. Nearly every
type of natural building technique is on-site. Participants will be
surrounded by inspiration and will be encouraged to get their hands
dirty!
The tuition cost is $550 for the week. Free camping is available nearby
or book a room at The Lodge for a discounted price. Meals are also
available at the Lodge. Call 505-895-5652 for more information.
