[Strawbale] How to cover a roof with palmtree-leaf

Hi Maren and Friend(s),

What you describe seems close to a green roof, where the material on top of 
a membrane like epdm (strong, flexible and chlorine free) would be fixed by 
weight only.(also being the only fix for the membrane)
But, since you plan a reciprocal frame, you have the rafters sticking out 
at the top so you can easily attach some form of netting over the 
palmtree-leafs, ropes or laths, listónes.
