Dear Rob!
We are building our first strawbalehouse here in the ecovillage and
community "Ökodorf Sieben Linden" in northern Germany. We will continue
working till the third week of Oktober. The walls of the first floor are
nearly finished, at the moment we are closing the roof with recycled tiles,
we are rising the chimney and will soon start to build the
strawbale-insulated floor. Our conditions of participating are: Working on
the construction site from Monday till Thursday, 15,- Deutschmarks for food
and lodging. We are a small community within the ecovillage, very
fundamentally ecologic that means building without machines and electricity,
only using natural and recycled materials, eating vegan and so on.
