Message of Bas Roufs for the straw bale network

 

Dear Strawbale Friends

 

Sometimes, a totally strange company manages somehow to send it's commercial junk mail to all the members of the straw bale list.  Below (under 'orininal message) you can find an example of such junk mail with no relevance whatsoever for straw bale or related issues. I am wondering wether it is possible to find some way to prevent this. Suggestions:

• do not publish at the site e-mail adresses which give access to the list.
• but do publish an e-mail adress to which all interested non-list member could send their messages.
• one or more persons responsible taking care for this e-mail adress should make a shift: they should decide what to be trown away and what to be distributed through the list.
• the same persons could remove from the list every 'list member' who overloads the network with his or her unsollicitated and non-relevant stuff.

I hope, these suggestions will be useful for the straw bale website and server managers.
