[Strawbale] sheep's wool insulation

Greetings Baleheads,
I have just returned from the north of England where last week I joined about 15 volunteers on what is almost certainly the largest strawbale build in U.K.
The build is being led by Barbara Jones and Bee Rowan of Amazon Nails.
It is the first stage of a complex of buildings which will eventually be a Childrens Farm and education centre for sustainability, the building work will be ongoing for two or possibly more years so if any one is interested in strawbale in U.K. and would like to help on this very worthwhile project then contact either Barbara  barbara@strawbalefutures...org.uk
or myself chug@strawbale-building....uk for further information.

P.S. we used untreated sheep fleeces for insulation in the floor beneath the bales--so time will tell if this is a competent insulation when untreated.
I will have pictures on the websites  www.strawbale-building.co.uk and
www.strawbalebuildingassociation.org.uk as soon as possible.
Regards Chug.

Keep spreading the word!
