Hello everybody,

I've replied to John's message because it was addressed to four
different lists and I'm subscribed to all four. But I'll bet you only
see my reply turn up on two of them. Of the others, one is
invitation-only which is fair enough. The other is run by Yahoo, which
drops my posts, and shows the reason why I would NOT want to move to a
Yahoo-based system. Similarly, I don't have a Google account or a
Facebook account because I don't want to be part of their marketing
exercises and 'monetisation' (or Murrican spying activities) so I don't
want to move to a system based on those platforms (in fact I won't move
there, I'd just drop my subscription).
