[Strawbale] External cladding

  Regarding the plastering of bales if they are going to be finished with  
external clading, a suggestion might be to dip the edges of the face edges 
of the bales in a clay slip before the walls go up, a la Tom Rijven (the 
french dip) Using this method the first 3 or 4 cms of the bales is 
impregnated with clay.
