[Strawbale]Ideas

Walter that's pretty much the idea I had had, like I've said in previous
posts the strawbales are to provide walling and insulation. I too have
thought about the glazing, but a) I've always wanted that much glass and b)
Pilkington K glass is very good at reflecting the heat back out of the house
in summer and reflecting it in in winter. But I take on board your concerns.

I have contacted people about using laminated wood for the roof structure
but I feel it'll be steel on price grounds. The idea would be to keep steel
away from straw by lime rendering the straw and having the steels internal
as you had said.

I like to push the envelope I guess.
