[strawbale] Switzerland: turning stones into stepping stones

Dear Axel,

Would like to join your initiative. This is a chance for the network of
offering practical support. I persume that loadbearing structure will fall
apart, if rain, mice and insects walk their way.

Some money (e.g. benefit action "lecture in Austria along the gathering?")
and volunteers could help. And it would be worthwhile if someone who knows
Ruedi Kunz in person (Harald? Andre?) would reflect with him, what he might
be willing to share gained ressources etc...

Also I appreciate Jan's offer to visit that place. A careful list of the
failures and possible remedies is necessary.

These steps should be communicated with the corresponding family.

Oh God-
this is worse than what I thought.
I feel "we" definitely have to do something about it, and you (Herbert) are
right that we don't even need to start talking about it, if nobody has seen
what "really" happened over there. Does anyone from the network live
relatively close to that place? I can't even find Rheinau in Switzerland.
Would these people trust in more strawbale experts?

bale-walls would be the last, if it is for rodent infestation, although it
can be done in a loadbearing system by jacking up the first floor and taking
out one wall section after another.
I suggest we form some sort of committee to deal with that case. That is
really bad publicity and as someone who propagates strawbale construction I
feel some sort of responsibility, too.
