Logaritmická škála jasů (jednotkou je kandela na metr čtvereční,
nazývaná též nit) – intenzity osvětlení sněhu v luxech dostanete
vynásobením jasu v nitech koeficientem 3,6. U intenzit osvětlení
lesní stěny je takový koeficient 20 až 40.
