U.S. ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING Photometric Data File Naming Convention

* All photometric files are in the IESNA: LM-65-1993 Format.

* The file names are 8 characters long followed by the .ies extension.

* The first two characters are a style reference or code of the fixture.

Example: AL = Aerolume Series

* The third and fourth characters are the abbreviated wattage of the lamp.

Typical Abbreviations: 0-19 Watts = 01

20-29 Watts = 02

30-39 Watts = 03

40-49 Watts = 04

Etc.

Common Wattages: 100 Watts = 10

150 Watts = 15

175 Watts = 17

200 Watts = 20

250 Watts = 25

400 Watts = 40

1000 Watts = 1K

* The fifth character is the lamp type designation.

Common Lamp Types : High Pressure Sodium = s 

Low Pressure Sodium = l

Metal Halide = h

Mercury Vapor = v 

Fluorescent = f

Incandescent = i 

* The sixth character is the luminaire distribution type.

Type I = 1 Floodlight = 6

Type II = 2 Assymetrical = 7

Type III = 3

Type IV = 4

Type V = 5

* The seventh and eighth chartacters are descriptive code letters.

a = Auxiliary Top Reflector m = Segmented Reflector

b = Auxiliary House Side Shield n = Twin Reflector

c = Clear Lens or Enclosure p = Post Top Mounted

d = Opal Lens, Diffuser, or Enclosure r = Hydroform Reflector

e = Prismatic Refractor or Enclosure s = Square Pattern Segmented Reflector

f = Configured Lens or Enclosure t = Optical Stacked Louver

g = Prismatic Glass Refractor u = Tear Drop, Pendant, or Suspended

h = Horizontal or Vertical Louvers v = Spun Reflector

j = Contoured Reflector w = Wall Mount

k = Contoured Reflector y = Clear Drop Lens

l = Inner Louver z = Twin Tube or Special Lamp
