Hello Georg, to bad I wasn´t in Austria at the meeting so I couldnt
follow this discussion.
Yet I would like to make a remark on double tecnical research and
development.
In the biology of evolution this is called redundance. It proves to be
quite useful to have a parallel evolution of things, since they are
never excactly the same. The little differences can later become very
meaningfull, be it in a specific environment or under changed
circumstances. The evolution of a new, softer, building style appears
quite similar to me. There will be dozends, if not hundreds of
subspezies, sometimes differing only very little from each other, due to
the different climates, resources, traditions and temperaments of the
developers.
At the same time I think that your workgroup is very important since it
can connect all these strings of development, so that they can know
about each others progress and new ideas, if they want to.
Thank you for this initiative
Harald
