1a. Harvest Moon

The full moon closest to the fall equinox
is called the "harvest moon," because it
provided farmers with enough light to gather
their crops at night, when daylight didn't
provide enough time and their livelihood
depended upon it.
If 0.01 fc is enough to pick your crops,
it ought to be an upper limit for light trespass.

Steve,
You remark that "0.01 fc" is enough to pick your crops.
Who measured the Harvest Moon as being this light level?
The idea is just brilliant but did those doing the harvest know how to
quantify the brightness of Moon Light?
I would guess that they just got on with it!
Graham Cliff.
