something for your pleasure... hope Christian Buil won't object. For
science, the continuous band of light along ecliptics was discovered in a
small town (Senftenberg, \v{Z}amberk), some 100 km north from Brno where I
live... amazing. Wish such sky returns again to our world...

cheers,
 jenik

Subject: zodiac visible continuously

Dear Christian,

I dared to apply a curve in gimp to the last image of your Pic du Midi
all-sky gallery, to make zodiac visible at the first glance. May I obtain
your consent to leave it on my pages? Currently it is at
  http://amper.ped.muni.cz/light/zodiac/

I know of no other image showing continuous zodiac band, just about those
two made by you...

Just today I learned that the existence of continuous band of light
between Gegenschein and standard zodiac light near the Sun was first
reported and published Theodor Brorsen when he lived in Bohemia, in 1854
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodor_Brorsen). I wonder if Arabs or even
Sumers did not notice it thousands of years earlier...

best regards
  jenik
