<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Dear Christopher, dear Marcel<div><br></div><div>Its not so simple.</div><div>There are materials in the national building list, according to the country codes,</div><div>which naturally don't need a CE or other certification.</div><div>I can use gravel in my foundation and the one who sells me the gravel, </div><div>don't need a CE-certification.</div><div><br></div><div>According to the European building-regulations only</div><div>modules/assembled building-parts, which are planked on both sides,</div><div>need a CE-certification.</div><div>For straw-modules, which are not planked on both sides, there is no CE</div><div>(e.g. for EcoCocon-modules).</div><div><br></div><div>Also there is no CE-certification for straw as a building material.</div><div><br></div><div>But there are national and European tests, which lead in some countries</div><div>to an ETA or NTA. </div><div>If there is a building-strawbale, tested according to NTA or ETA, in your country</div><div>(like in Germany and Austria), some building officials tell you,</div><div>that you have to use these certified bales.
