I had something similar although not sure they were the same bugs, we had them for a few weeks after plastering and one day they just left with no known harm done.

Basically we used a de-humidifier to bring moisture content of bales
down below what the little creatures
needed to breed and live. in the meantime we sealed off as many gaps
as possible eg putty under skirting, under window ledges, laid down a
non-toxic silica substance to ill them off, and when we got really
pissed of resorted to chemical warfare and weapons of mass destruction.

regards, karl
think, (and only visible when "walking" over the woodwork), that look like
this : http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/strawbales/Psocids?authkey=m9uYiMySu7g
The bales were very dry (having been stored in a polytunnel; measured
humidity in straw 8-10%) when put in the house (as in-fill); now the
measured humidity has increased till about 15%, still fine I think. The
bales have not been plastered (yet).
Any thoughts?
Peter (van Balen)
France

===========================

Date: Mon, 26 May 2008 18:56:04 +0200
From: "Lieve Van Landeghem"
Subject: [Strawbale] Re: insects... (Rikki Nitzkin
