[Strawbale] Moisture monitor, logger and alarm

Hello,

I decided, about five years ago, that my next house I would build it myself.

To do so I decided to look around.

I soon realised that I was attracted to straw ball houses. So for the last
few years I am learning the trade.

Being technically trained, at some point I thought of equipping my house
with just the kind op monitoring system you propose. So yes I am interested,
but I am pretty sure I am an exception.

Of course, as always, prise is a consideration. However, I have not thought
it through what I am willing to pay for such a system.

Do you have any documentation or technical description?

Hello,

I have developed a multi-sensor moisture monitor, logger and alarm,
mainly for straw bale buildings.

Have made, tested and installed a few in straw bale houses, but have not
yet done any larger production, because although moisture is a prominent
theoretical concern, how many straw or other "bio" builders are prepared
to invest a little money in long term monitoring of their house or
structure?

The idea behind the product is that it should be:
- useful, gives an early indication of moisture problems
- affordable
- easy to install
- easily used and understood, not demanding any technical skills
- low maintenance, just replace the battery once a year
- available also in a lower-cost kit version
- helpful for the wider acceptance of strawbale buildings

I would greatly appreciate any feedback on whether you would use such a
device in your strawbale house
