[Strawbale] Mortgages on SB houses in the UK

Neale,

apologies for late response to your email - I have been away..

It look likes I inadvertently started a discussion about misleading insurance
companies re straw bale descriptions, which was not my intention at all! I shall
phrase my comments more carefully on such matters in future.

The builds I have been working on recently are not "commercial" houses in that
they are effectively self builds for owner occupier use.

It is my intention to do my own build at some point in the near future (either
in the UK or Australia ) and I am confident that such a house would be highly
desirable on the open market if I needed to sell as it would rate as an A
regarding Energy Performance Certificate. Indeed, its ecological credentials
and low energy running costs would add value and I suspect therefore command a
premium even in todays depressed housing market.

regards
Andrew
