[Strawbale]strawbales and earthquakes, rammed earth

there's alot of testing and earthquake proof
detailing of strawbale-building been done in
california, a good book being "buildings of earth
and straw", by bruce king.

and on the ramed earth question:
i have done some workshops and research on this
material and just spent 6 weeks in south africa
preparing soil-mixes. there is someone in the
hague, netherlands, who designs/builds with this
material technique [stampleembouw] and i am
certain he was on this list....
the earth centre in cornwall has rammed earth
walls, simliar climate NL. stabilisation of the
earth with concrete, bitumen [neither
desirable],lime, extra clay and so forth...are
ways in which to minimise the weathering, and
like strawbales, its all in the detailing!
i myself am an architect and would like to get
involved in using this material in NL...as well
as strawbaling and other low-embodied energy and
non-toxic building blocks!
