EARTH WORKSHOPS SCHEDULE
SUMMER 2003 in POLAND

Workshop 1 HERMITS HUT
Earth Building - Building a dome out of sandbags (two weeks)
·         Location: 50 miles North West of Warsaw, Poland surrounded by woods and fields, close to the river.
Date: 28 July (Monday) ? 10 August (Sunday):
Price: 295 pounds including food and camping facilities (excluding travel).
food: vegetarian
Using only ecological building materials
Fee includes tuition on ecological house building
-Building a sandbag dome
-Learning to construct arches
-Sandbag foundations for a straw bale house
-Earthen finishes plaster to the dome.
-Constructing an outdoor hot-tub
Camping facilities available with campfires &  sweat lodge

Workshop 2 STRAW BALE HOUSE
Straw bale house construction  (in just 3 weeks)
Learn to construct a load-bearing straw bale house with a grass roof, sandbag foundations and earthen finishes.
·         Location: 50 miles North West of Warsaw, Poland.  Surrounded by woods and fields, close to the river.
Date: 14 August (Thursday) ? 4 September (Thursday):
Prize: 395 pounds including food and camping facilities (excluding travel).
food: vegetarian
Fee includes tuition on ecological house building
-Learning to construct straw bale walls (with NO wooden structure) that carry the load of the roof.
-Putting in windows and doors.
-Constructing a pitched roof and a mandala roof and covering it with grass.
-Earthen plasters.
-Sculpting earthen oven, and furniture.
Camping facilities available with campfires & sweat lodge

Spaces are limited.  To ensure a place deposit has to be paid 5 weeks in advance.
