APOYO CON GOBIERNO FEDERAL, DEL ESTADO Y DE LOS MUNICIPIOS, SIN LOGRAR NADA. QUISIERA SABER COMO CONSEGUIR 
UN MANUAL QUE EXPLIQUE DE UNA MANERA SENCILLA COMO CONSTRUIR UNA CASA DE PACAS DE PAJA, PASO POR PASO, CUAL 
SERIA LA MEZCLA MAS APROPIADA PARA REPELLAR LOS MUROS, ETC. SI EXISTE, COMO PUEDO CONSEGUIRLO. YO LES ESTOY 
HACIENDO LOS FARDOS DE LAS SIGUIENTES MEDIDAS: 1.00 X .050 X .045 MTS. Y ALGUNOS DE 0.50 X 0.50 X 0.45 MTS.
Y SOLO LES COBRO LOS INSUMOS, LA PAJA SE LAS REGALO. QUIERO SABER SI ME PUEDEN AYUDAR CON INFORMACION.

Hola ,

Abajo adjunto las respuestas (en inglés) que he recibido a tu pregunta...aunque la sugerencia viene de gente que hayan tenido problemas en los muros, no en paja suelta en el techo. Cuando aparecen (no es muy común), suele ser durante el proceso de secado del revoco si coinciden condiciones de humedad y calor.

Básicamente viene a ser que suelen desaparecer por su cuenta después de un tiempo. Nacen porque se juntan las condiciones que les gusta: humedad y calor. Cuando desaparecen estas condiciones también desaparecen los bichos...Hay  dos variedades unos que pueden picar ("straw itch mite"), pero no son peligrosos, y otros que no pican ("Psocids"), pero que son molestos pero también sin ser peligrosos...

Dos sugerencias han sido: ventilar bien para que haya menos humedad y calor o si no quieres esperar que se vayan solos, usa una insecticida. Otra persona sugería usar una aspiradora para recogerlas hasta que las condiciones se secan/enfrían...

En la mayoría de casos solo aparecen una vez, y cuando se van ya está, aunque en un caso aparecieron tres años seguidos pero por fin desaparecieron. Esta persona dijo que "tienen preferencia para techos blancos y cada septiembre sus numeros menguan espontaneamente"...

Espero que tengas suerte y desaparecen pronto...

Yes - straw itch mite, I had a few (millions) of these when we just movedin, but now they have seemed to go somewhere else...they can bite & somepeople are allergic to them and get a rush, but a part from that I thinkthey are harmless.Amit Kvint

Rikki, there is a thread called Psocids infestation  in the August 2004 archives.I remember I sent another email at a later date, but can't remember when that was.It took 3 years for the bugs to disappear completely in my house.I remember they had a clear preference for the white ceilings and every September their number decreased spontaneously.Hope this info helps.Regards, Lieve.

We hovered up all the dust we could find and then sprayed in some
insecticides into the cracks.  They have not come back.

I think it is related to the depth of plaster that has to dry out, it
just takes time.  They had exactly the same problem in findhorn, I don't
think it has recurred there either.

The psocids go, it takes some time for the paranoia that you have messed
up and your house is rotting around you to subside tho... must just go
and sniff that truth window, is that the sweet smell of black goo ?!

kes--------To concur with Chug and Kes --  these tiny non-biting straw beetles are probably a result of the moisture introduced in the walls from plastering, 
made a bit worse by the humidity of moist summer rains.  They will probably 
go away without the use of insecticides, once things dry out.

To aid this, besides opening the windows, I would also recommend getting 
fans going in each room, to enhance the drying process.  A hand vacuum can 
help to just get them out of your sight until their moist habitat disappears.
