I'd like to recommend that we move this forum off of yahoo groups.
We are constantly being bombarded by ads, now even while we are
reading our notes. I find this totally unacceptable.

Whoa. That would be an involved undertaking. I too
noticed if you access messages at the web site you now
have to read around display ads. But moving would mean
losing those who don't come along, making links
outdated, losing the archive, and possibly losing some
of the yahoo available features with a new host --
like archives, file sharing, chat, highly effective
virus defense.
I've read many good LP related media articles that
wrapped around display ads. It's a minor nuisance but
clearly worth it. Let the folks at Yahoo make their
bucks. They don't owe us anything.
One man's op-onion.

Subject: CF recycleable? How toxic?
Does anyone know if compact fluorescent bulbs can
be/are recycled? Also in case of breakage what is the
risk level re: mercury? I assume it is far less than a
[4 foot?] tube if for no other reason due to volume.
